I know I already teased this but its time to reveal the OFFICIAL cover of my collaboration with Ms. Angela Brooks, Wayward Son. For now, a stand alone. Subject to change, hint hint.
Due to the release of Insanely Drawn on July 15, 2013 by the wonderful Moon Rose Publishing (have I mentioned how easy they are to work with?),
Angela and I have decided on an August 15th, 2013 release date.
Drum roll please…
The lovely Miranda Stork did both covers and I feel lucky to have her.
Off to watch Tru Blood and then do a bit of work.
Song of the day would be of course Jace Everett’s Bad Things, the Tru Blood theme.
Until next time
So many times I feel like I vent and complain but when something good happens, I stay silent. Today, well tonight, I take to the blog to just brag about a particularly pleasant day. First off, saw Superman this morning with one of my besties and let me just say… wow. The movie was a visual success. The story tugged at my emotions. But the reason the movie works incredibly well can be summed up in two words- Henry Cavill. Sigh. Be still my heart. Hell who am I kidding. Be still my aching lady parts.
Secondly, I had a nice visit from an old friend. We enjoyed some delicious Chinese food and two good movies. I had forgotten how much I loved Heathers and what a sexy beast Christian Slater was, well still is frankly.
Lastly, I am half way through my edits on Wayward Son and finishing up the last details on getting that book out, probably within the month. Two books in a month. See… very happy.
So’, listening to my ‘writing’ playlist and going to pick a random song as my song of the day. Daughtry- Over You. This is dedicated to my ex husband because if he had not been such a complete and utter fuck up… I would not be where I am today. In charge of my own life and happy.
So I’ve had a hard week personally. We all have them but out of no where… a story idea bursts into my head and grabs hold. Not only is it an idea for a book, but there is enough material of at least two if not a trilogy. It will have a supernatural element and I’m currently plotting like made. God I love this stage when my mind is flooded with new ideas. I love picking out names, what people look like, locations, houses, apartments, cars, and all the fun stuff.
It seems when you are at a low point… if you just persist long enough… good things come.
I have basically one week until I go visit a dear friend in Colorado and have a crazy girls mini vacation, well as crazy as is can get when children are present. I have so much to get done before then.
Listening to my writing playlist on spotify. Seems a little Papa Roach was exactly was the doctor ordered. Scars is the song of choice.
Until next time.
I am at a pivotal point in my life, a crossroads if you will. Do I bite the bullet and do what is best for me or do I continue to try to make everyone happy? Its so much easier said than done. I know what I need to do for my own sanity, yet I struggle with pulling the trigger. My whole life has been for others… I’m just wired that way.
Please give me the strength to do what needs to be done.
Song choice… drawing a blank.
I have been struggling with many issues as of late and they are all playing havoc with my muse. Not only is she on no where to be seen… I fear she may have ran off and joined the circus, tired of my antics.
Due to real life demands, I have been forced to bitch slap her and force her into hiding when she was glowing vibrant, painting the skies of my imagination with such wonderful imagery. Now, only darkness is left in her void.
PLEASE come back! I’m begging you, down on my knees. Come back! I need you!
Pulling out the big guns with the music of the day… Crack the Shutters by Snow Patrol. If this song doesn’t do it… I might as well hang up the pen.
I finally have my author Good Read up and functional. Everything is coming together slowly but surely.
Song of the Day has to Insane in the Membrane by Insane Clown Posse. It’s old school but running through my head constantly today.
Until next time…
My next book, a collab with Ms. Angela Brooks is in the editing stage. The wonderful Miranda Stork did the cover and I think an amazing job. Hoping to publish end of June or July at the lastest.
The conference in Kansas was wonderful. I caught up with many wonderful people and made lost of new friends and contact. Peyton Elizabeth, it was wonderful to see you again. Dawn… oh my you are one in a million.
Me, Peyton and Roxy Dawn and me
I also had the best roomies ever. Roxy Mews and Diane Thorne/Mary Abshire.
Diane, me and Roxy.
Song of the day would have to be The Only Exception by Paramour. It’s been in my head for weeks and driving me to write… a secret for now.
Until next time…
